The former Plaza Cinema, in Port Talbot is an iconic grade II listed Art Deco building. It had laid derelict for over 20 years before the façade and foyer areas were restored, with work complete in 2022.
To mark the end of the building works I captured the building at night, witnessing the sign lit up for the first time since 1999.
Shooting long exposures at dusk has given the building a striking blue backdrop, and the light trails from the cars travelling past echo the red sign and metalwork.
